When arranging a large house there is an opportunity to show imagination, take advantage of all the wealth of design techniques and get an interesting result. It is much more difficult to achieve such a result in the design of the interior of a small two-room apartment, when the flight of fancy is strictly limited to a small area, planning task, and it is not always possible to change it, and quite small kitchen and bathroom.

The design of a small apartment needed to be made stylish, elegant, and at the same time provide modern comfort for the people living there. Initially, there was a small living room, a tiny bedroom in which even a bed of the usual sizes was placed with difficulty, a mini-kitchen and a combined bathroom.

The wall separating the entrance area was decided to be demolished - this made it possible to increase the area of ​​both the living room and the kitchen. In the reception area a large comfortable sofa was placed, and in the kitchen area there was a small private sofa, next to the window. Under it - the boxes in which you can store kitchenware.

The main color of the interior of a small two-room apartment is pure white. For small rooms, this is ideal, even the smallest room seems spacious, bright, filled with air.

In the design of a small apartment, minimalism is the most appropriate style, it allows you to do with a minimum of furniture. In the living room area: white walls and furniture, mirrors as elements “pushing” the space, in addition to them - glossy doors and furniture fronts.

As decorative accents, there are elements of black: an openwork table from the sofa, straight lines of the floor lamp, the same black straight lines in combination with gray and white stripes - on the decorative panel adorning the wall.

In the kitchen, they used another method of increasing the visual area: the furniture facades are made glossy, and the reflections “break” the picture, depriving it of clear boundaries and creating the illusion of spaciousness.

Thin metal rods from which the chairs are “assembled” are painted black and not only do not clutter the area, but also serve as an interesting graphic decorative element on the light background of the floor and walls. The legs of the table are quite massive, but painted white, and “dissolved” in the interior.

The bedroom is quite small, so the designers chose an unusual bed: at night it is a comfortable double bed, and during the day - a narrow closet near the wall. The bed unfolds easily, with one hand.

As in the whole interior of a small two-room apartment, the main color of the bedroom is white.

Despite the more than modest size of the room, between the bed and the window there was a place for a miniature working area: a table, an armchair and a pair of shelves for books and documents.

In the design of a small apartment, a technique such as “free floor” is used to expand the space. All that can be raised up, for example, a bed in the bedroom.

In the toilet, plumbing was removed from the floor - an external toilet with an unusual shape and a sink similar in shape is used. Soaring above the floor, they create a feeling of free volume.

The tiny bathroom almost completely occupied the bath. It was removed, which made it possible to equip this room as comfortable and modern as possible.

The shower cabin is fenced off from one side by a wall, on the other by a glass door, and does not have a tray, which makes it externally light and gives the impression of a free floor. This was made possible through the use of a system for discharging water laid under the floor, a rather complicated device.

A large water heater, sparkling with a “stainless steel”, replaced the heated towel rail and took over two functions: heating the room and drying the laundry.
