Work on the design of small apartments allows you to fully express individuality and imagination. Here we will have to abandon the standard methods, it is necessary to design something original, special, in order to create a comfortable and cozy accommodation in a small space. As an example, we present 12 projects with interiors of small apartments, some of them already have owners, and the other is only planned for implementation.

The interior design of a small apartment of 18 square meters. m
With an area of 18 square meters. m. you need to save every centimeter and use all the possibilities in order to increase the small space. To this end, the designers warmed the loggia and combined it with the living room - for this it was necessary to remove the balcony unit. The former loggia was equipped with an office for working with a corner tabletop and open bookshelves.
A bench was placed at the entrance, a mirror and clothes hangers were placed above it. On the bench you can conveniently change the shoes, and under it - store shoes. Here is the main storage system of variable width, part of it is given under the clothes, part - under the household equipment.
The living room is divided into functional areas. Immediately behind the entrance area begins the kitchen, equipped with all modern appliances. Behind it is a living room - a sofa with a small table, above it are open shelves for decor items and books, and opposite it is a TV area.
In the evening, the living room turns into a bedroom - the sofa unfolds and becomes a comfortable bed. Between the kitchen and living area there is a folding dining area: the table rises and becomes one of the sections of the storage system, and the chairs are folded and taken out to the loggia.

Design project of a small studio apartment of 20 square meters. m
In order to create a concise and functional interior, the designers decided to use an open layout and dismantled all the walls that were not bearing. The resulting space was divided into two zones: technical and residential. A small hallway and a sanitary unit were located in the technical area, and a kitchen-dining room was installed in the living room, which simultaneously fulfills the role of a living room.
At night, a bed appears in the room, which during the day is removed into the closet and does not interfere with the free movement of the apartment. Near the window there was a place for the desktop: a small tabletop with a desk lamp, above it - open shelves, next to it - a comfortable chair.
The main color of the design is white, with the addition of gray tones. Black is selected as the contrast. The interior is complemented by wooden elements - light wood brings warmth and comfort, and its texture enriches the decorative palette of the project.

Modern design of a small apartment of 19 sq. M. m
For such a limited area, the best stylistic solution for interior design is minimalism. White walls and ceiling, white furniture of a laconic form, merging with the background - all this visually increases the size of the room. Color accents and designer lamps are used as decorative elements.
Transformable furniture is another key to successfully solving the problem of placing everything that is necessary for comfort and coziness to a modern person in a small area. In this case, the sofa in the living room area unfolds, and the living room turns into a bedroom. Table mini-cabinet easily turns into a large dining.

A small studio of 25 square meters. m
The apartment is equipped with all the requirements for comfort. In the hallway there is a bulk storage system, in addition, additional storage systems are arranged in the bedroom - this is the mezzanine, where you can place suitcases or boxes with things, and a chest of drawers in the television area, located in the bedroom.
A large double bed is adjoined by a headboard to a wall decorated with a geometric pattern. In the small bathroom there was a place for a washing machine. A kitchen with a sofa may well serve as a guest place.

Studio size of 24 squares decorated in the Scandinavian style. The white color of the walls, doors and light wooden surfaces are harmoniously combined with the accent colors characteristic of northern interiors. White is responsible for the visual expansion of space, bright accent colors add a joyful mood.
The wide ceiling cornice is a decorative detail that gives charm to the interior. As a decor, the game of textures is also used: one of the walls is lined with brickwork, the floors are wooden, and the main walls are plaster, all this is painted white.

Design project of a small apartment of 25 square meters. m
An interesting example of space zoning is the DesignRush studio, whose masters turned an ordinary small apartment into a very comfortable and modern living space. Light tones help expand the volume, using milky shades that add warmth. The feeling of warmth and comfort is enhanced by wooden interior elements.
In order to separate functional areas from each other, designers use a multi-level ceiling and different floor coverings. Well-planned lighting supports zoning: a suspension in the form of a luminous ring is placed in the center of the sofa zone under the ceiling, lamps mounted on metal tires are placed along the sofa and TV zone.
The entrance hall and kitchen are lit with built-in ceiling spots. Three black lamp-pipes, mounted on the ceiling above the dining area, visually draw a line between the kitchen and living room.

Beautiful small apartment with an unusual layout
Studio apartment of 30 square meters. it is minimalist with Scandinavian style elements - this is indicated by the combination of white-colored walls with the texture of natural wood, a bright blue accent in the form of a carpet on the living room floor, and the use of ornamental tiles to finish the bathroom.
The main "highlight" of the interior is an unusual layout. In the center there is a huge wooden cube in which the sleeping area is hidden. From the living room side, the cube is open, and from the kitchen side, a deep niche is made in it, which has a built-in work surface with sink and hob, as well as a refrigerator and kitchen cabinets.
In each area of the apartment there are other wooden parts, so the central cube serves as not only a separating element, but also an interior unifying element.

A small one-room studio of 29 sq. M. m divided into two zones, in one of which - far from the window - housed the bedroom, and in the other - the living room. From each other, they are separated by decorative fabric curtains. In addition, it was possible to find a place not only for the kitchen and bathroom, but also for the dressing room.
The interior is made in the art deco style in its American version. A stylish combination of light glossy surfaces with a dark wenge tree against the background of beige walls complement the details of glass and chrome. The kitchen space is separated from the living area by a high bar-counter.

A small apartment, the general style of which can be defined as modern, has a sufficient number of storage places. This is a large wardrobe in the hallway, the space under the sofa cushions, a chest of drawers and a TV cabinet in the living room, two rows of cabinets in the kitchen, a drawer under the bed in the bedroom.
The living room and kitchen are separated by a wall of gray concrete. It does not reach the ceiling, and the LED strip of the backlight is fixed on top - this solution visually facilitates the design, making it “weightless”.
From the bedroom the living room is separated by a thick gray curtain. The use of natural palette and natural materials gives solidity to the interior. The main colors of the design are gray, white, brown. Contrast details are made in black.

The best small apartments are made with the help of natural materials - this brings the required thoroughness to their furnishings, and allows you to do without cluttering the space of decorative elements, as the color and texture of the materials themselves are used as decor.
The parquet board laid by "a fir-tree", porcelain tile with a "marble" surface, shponirovanny MDF - here the main finishing materials in the apartment. In addition, white and black paint was used. Wooden interior elements in combination with marble surfaces make it possible to saturate it with an interesting pattern, while keeping the main volume free.
The living room is combined with the kitchen and dining room, and the bed is separated by a partition made of metal and glass. During the day, you can fold it and lean against the wall, so it does not take up much space. The entrance area and the bathroom are isolated from the main volume of the apartment. In addition, there is a laundry room.

Beautiful interiors of small apartments, as a rule, have a common feature: they take the minimalism style as a basis, and add an interesting decorative idea to it. The strip has become such an idea in the 35-meter “odnushka”.
A small place for night rest stands out with a wall with horizontal lines on it. They visually make a tiny bedroom more, and add rhythm. The wall in which the storage system is hidden is also “striped”. Track lights in the interior support the idea of horizontal stripes, repeated in furniture and in the bathroom decoration.
The main color of the interior is white, black is used as a contrast. Textile elements and panels in the living room make delicate color accents and soften the atmosphere.

This is a real male interior with a strong character that reflects the views of its owner. Studio layout allows you to keep the maximum possible volume, while highlighting the necessary areas for work and leisure.
The living room and kitchen are separated by a brick bar counter, characteristic of the interior in a loft style. Between the living room and home office, they put a chest of drawers, to which is attached a desk.
The interior is saturated with rich decorative details, many of which are made by hand. In their manufacture used old, already thrown things. So, the coffee table is a former suitcase, the seats of bar stools were once the seats of bicycles, the floor of the floor lamp was a photo stand.
